The Secret Sauce to a Creating an Engaging Content Strategy

Whether you're writing a blog post, producing a podcast, or simply creating a Reel on Instagram, you better make sure you're doing THIS.

Drumroll please….

The KEY to creating an engaging content strategy is.....BEING GENUINE. Also known as Authentic. Real. Original. True. Legit. Pure. Bona Fide. I mean when it comes down to it just straight up being honest.

Let’s chat social media for a second. I think there's SO much pressure for us to be perfect on social, right? Like we all suffer from this on a personal level maybe even subconsciously.

I don’t know about y’all but, I'm on social media to laugh and have a good time and feel good feels- not bad about myself and comparing myself to others and their highlight reels. FYI: social media is a literal highlight reel, but that is for another day. But, I connect with certain accounts because they are honest and raw and real and don’t try to be perfect.

Another thing about social: Everyone when they put on their business hats for social media takes off their personal hat. What I mean by that is they stop recognizing what they connect with as a user on social platforms and start acting like a business. This could look like you can only go on camera if you're put together, or you only showcase models wearing your products, or you only post things that show you as this perfect little successful business... don't do that.

What you should do is KEEP IT REAL! Create content for social that showcases where you're at as a business. People will relate to that so much more. Create good behind the scenes videos, be honest in your captions, don't CONSTANTLY be trying to sell your product or service. Just DO YOU.

Keeping it real and being genuine can absolutely be hard to do on social media. we get it. But, in a world that everything can be edited with a filter or photoshopped, a little realness can go a LONG way. especially for your business!
