I'm a big fan of quotes, as you can see on my Pinterest page... I believe words of encouragement or profound thought or comical value can be influential, throught provoking or good for a laugh. All good results in my mind.
I recently came across this adventured.com post displaying 50 social media & marketing quotes. I thought I'd share in attempts to inspire and/or provoke thought and/or laughter. Enjoy!
These were the ones I found most moving:
“When you give everyone a voice and give people power, the system usually ends up in a really good place.” -Mark Zuckerberg, CEO & Founder of Facebook
“You can buy attention (advertising). You can beg for attention from the media (PR). You can bug people one at a time to get attention (sales). Or you can earn attention by creating something interesting and valuable and then publishing it online for free.” –David Meerman Scott, Best-Selling Author & Speaker
“Focus on how to be social, not on how to do social.” -Jay Baer
“We’re living at a time when attention is the new currency: With hundreds of TV channels, billions of Web sites, podcasts, radio shows, music downloads and social networking, our attention is more fragmented than ever before.” -Pete Cashmore, Founder of Mashable
“Social Media is about the people! Not about your business. Provide for the people and the people will provide for you.” -Matt Goulart
“Creativity is just connecting things. When you ask creative people how they did something, they feel a little guilty because they didn’t really do it, they just saw something. It seemed obvious to them after a while. That’s because they were able to connect experiences they’ve had and synthesize new things. And the reason they were able to do that was that they’ve had more experiences or they have thought more about their experiences than other people.” -Steve Jobs
